The carbon footprint of the Sky House 85 home is 65.7 tonnes. What does this mean?
The carbon footprint figure we provide indicates the amount of carbon sequestered within the building. Timber is the most climate-friendly choice; rather than producing carbon, it actually stores it. Consequently, timber reduces the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. This Sky House 85 home sequesters 65.7 tonnes of carbon - that's the equivalent to driving a typical family car for 427,000 kilometres (265,326 miles).
