Horizon 1B

Large glazed windows and screens are an increasingly common and popular feature in Kontio's buildings. They help to keep a massive wood log building within a more stable temperature range by making use of a process called Thermal Mass.

Sunlight of course is also beneficial to our health and well being by driving Vitamin D synthesis as well as helping to regulate our circadian rhythm amongst other tangible benefits.

Healthy places to live.

Horizon 1C

The scale of this model belies the fact that it is in fact a one bedroom building, but there is useable loft space in which you could locate a further bedroom. The addition of the annexe under the extended roof could provide guest accommodation so it's uses would be best suited as a holiday let or an easy to manage retirement home.

As designed the annexe is configured as break out room, walk in shower and sauna.

Adaptable.

Horizon 2A

One of the advantages in design terms is the availability of Kontio's Smartlog technology, the non-settling Smartlogs allow other building materials to be used in the construction, designs then can feature other building materials to be incorporated into the design.

Horizon 2A features a master bedroom with an en-suite and two further bedrooms and caters for a larger family as a family home or holiday let.
