Low Risk Solutions
Unlike all other Modern Methods of Construction using Off- Site Manufacture where there are often risks relating to the long term viability of such methods, using massive log buildings there are no real risks, the technology is proven and over 150 years old in terms of off-site production.
Even using the latest technology - the laminated massive log, it is over 40 years old so still well tried and tested, with some basic maintenance, the buildings should easily outlast conventional methods with life spans well in excess of 100 years.

Log buildings themselves have a history dating back over 800 years, the introduction of laminated technology over 40 years ago and has radically transformed what is acheivable in terms of design potential. The process of laminating timber delivers a number of significant advantages, not least the ability to introduce timber log buildings into the urban environment given their more traditional visuals.
Add to that the advantages of improved thermal performance, dynamic stability, acoustics and the fact that timber "breaths" - creating the healthiest living and working conditions of any construction method.
Finally, and this cannot be overstated too much, the method easily offers the most sustainable means of creating modern homes and commercial buildings.

This is still a log building, demonstrating just how different a log building can be, this individually styled house offers a gross living area of just under 600 square metres over two floors, three if you include the swim pool in the basement.
A key design requirement being the large windows oriented to provide views into the garden whilst still maintaining a degree of privacy.
